What are Energy Savers?

Energy Savers is a team of environmentally conscious students that try to ensure that we are conserving as much energy as possible and using our resources wisely.

Why do we have Energy Savers?

Energy Savers is a group that helps Green reduce its annual energy consumption, therefore helping the school save money. Energy Savers also help with recycling of white paper and ink cartridges.

How does someone become an Energy Saver?

The Energy Savers Team consists of fourth and fifth grade students.

What do the Energy Savers do?

Energy Savers periodically walk around the school and inspect classrooms to ensure we are conserving energy. The students are checking each class to see lights are off, computers monitors are off, doors and windows are closed, no water is running, nothing is in front of vents and sensors. The students place a door hanger that indicates the level of energy efficiency for each class. They also collect and weigh all the white paper and newspapers that Green recycles on biweekly basis.
