What are Footloose & Serendipity? Footloose & Serendipity are after school dance programs where students can further their education in the performing arts! Serendipity is a ballet group while Footloose focuses on tap and clogging. |
What do they do? Both groups have the opportunity to perform at school functions like the Fall Festival and the Winter Dinner & Faculty Talent Show. They also participate in community events like the Carolina Christmas Show and also host a winter and spring performance each year. |
When do they meet? Serendipity meets every Thursday afternoon from 2:30-5:00 and Footloose meets every Tuesday afternoon from 2:30-5:00. Both groups meet in the music room. |
How can I get involved? Applications are distributed to rising third, fourth and fifth grade students each May. Students are accepted to Serendipity or Footloose on a first come, first served basis. There is a fee for joining each group that pays for costuming and renting the school space for practice. Footloose costs $25 per month while Serendipity costs $35 per month. |
